Honeymoon in Thailand & Malaysia

After leaving the wildlife camp, we hired a cab driver to take us around Sandakan before our late afternoon flight. Our first stop was a stilt village where the driver used to live. They were apparently used to having visitors; several houses had their front rooms set up as souvenir shops.

The Puu Jih Shih Buddhist temple was completed fairly recenty, in 1987, and is extravagantly decorated.

Our second stop was a Buddhist temple at the top of the ridge behind the city. It had an amazing view of the city and the bay.
