The ranch was about an 8 hour drive from our house, so we decided to do it over two days. We drove up the 101 and made a brief westward jog to stock up Maple Creek Winery and Anderson Valley Brewing Company. We stopped for the night in Garberville, just south of Humboldt Redwoods State Park. In the morning, we walked (and Evan ran) a few short trails in the redwoods.
